Puddle & a Stick !

This morning I took the kidlets to the park to wear them out for a play and like always, they found the one and only puddle there and had a field day! I really believe that all kids need for a rock'n time is a puddle and a stick. It was funny because in eye shot, 50 meters or so away there was a brand spanking new playground  with all the latest and greatest gadgets and also I might add, the worlds most ridiculously stupidly dangerous slippery dip I've ever seen!

As you can see below, my two preferred the puddle and a stick (or a small tree branch, if you prefer!)

So you may be wondering where my child's pants are? The answer is that it appears Jack is going through a phase at the moment where he no longer holds the desire to wear pants! I promise that I dress my children but everytime I look, Jack's pantless. This doesn't really phase me, however I was a little embarrassed when at the park I turned to find Jack running as fast as his little chubby legs would carry him across the field and you guessed it, commando style! I had to apolgise to a couple of bemused joggers: "sorry, I just can't keep his pants on!"

It's almost been three years since Jack graced us with this relentless screaming lovely little face. So as you do, I'm throwing him a little party to celebrate (not one of those super-styled affairs as I just don't have it in me. Cake and a few balloons is all I can muster).

Here's the invite I've been working on... Almost finished:

On another note, I've got a room I'd like to decorate so I can take decent staged photos for my online stores launching soon... Here's are some images I find inspiring. Hope you're all having a super week and don't forget, if you find a puddle and stick, go wild!! Erin x

Still a little sick and without sense of humour so no tongue-in-cheek wise cracks today, sorry!

Found this blog via Squeezed Daily called An Indian Summer. The feel definitely resonates with me right now... Erin x

excuse moi !

I'm such a bad blogger! My tonsillitis has rendered me void of my sense of humour so I'll just say that there's lots going on behind the scenes with my next shipment of armchairs due to arrive soon, a funky louis boutique and french furniture online store laucnhing not long after...

Lonny's out... x

When will it end??

Excuse my absence from blogging but I was tending to my little Charlie bear who's been sick with a nasty virus since Friday. Good news is he's better now. Bad news is Jack appears to have it ...

Needless to say, I'm absolutely exhausted...

I LOVE colourful furniture and this example from Anna Spiro has really brightened up my day.

Daffodil Day

Today is Daffodil Day and it wasn't that long ago that my Frenchman found a very very nasty and large blue/black mole on his leg. It was melanoma and we were very very lucky that it was caught just in time. Now on his leg he has a large scar and a constant reminder to Slip, Slop, Slap. He is from the Mediterranean and has dark skin, rarely burns and the last person I would have thought would have had melanoma! For more information or to make a donation, click here.

BREAKING NEWS: Robbie Deans Ousted as Wallabies Coach!

and apparently he's been replaced by none other than brother duo, Jack & Charlie Garnier.

It appears Jack was selected for his expertise in "line outs"

Assistant Coach, Charlie Garnier has recently snubbed media reports that his short stature may interfere with his ability to bring home the World Cup saying: "Abaaaa baaaa daaaaa daaaa baaaaah". Well said Charlie! (pictured above and clearly demonstrating that being short is no obstacle)

While Jack talks, Charlie smiles... that's how these two roll!

After instructing the on field trainers via phone, Jack & Charlie follow through!

And the man who started it all "Papa Garnier". Pictured with Peter Harding, the Wallabies trainer, Papa Garnier AKA Laurent/Loz knows Peter from way back when Peter trained his team in France!!! Jack & Charlie decided to keep Peter on due to his links with their papa!
